The TARDIS and I

Description

Alright, WELL, over the weekend, Fan Expo was going on in Downtown Vancouver and my mom and I have never been before, but this year we went on Friday and Sunday and I can honestly say it was one of the best days of my entire life! We are SO going again next year, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. There were so many people in costume and in character and so much merchandise and art that if I had a thousand dollars, I would've spent it all there within minutes. There was so much stuff! :iconhappycryingplz:

We went to two of the Q&As on Sunday - the first for Tom Felton and the second for Karl Urban - and we definitely had some laughs, but unfortunately we didn't go and meet any of the actors or get autographs; the lineups were quite long, autographs were a bit expensive, and my mom didn't want to wait in line; not to mention we had no idea what we'd say to anyone so yeah. Unfortunate, but next year I will force myself to meet someone :iconherotimeplz:

ANYWAY, for both days we dressed up. My mom dressed up as the TARDIS for both days while I dressed up differently for both. On Friday I went as Alice's Hysteria mode from the video game "Alice: Madness Returns" (best game and best mode ever!) and on Sunday I went as the Eleventh Doctor. Considering I've never ever cosplayed outside of Halloween before, this was definitely new and a challenge for me, but was very fun to do at the same time.

For my mom's outfit, she wore my youngest brother's jacket with my TARDIS dress, necklace, and house key. As for the hat, we made it together using a headband, cardboard painted blue, a milk jug, and a puck light inside to light it up (she got so many compliments on it). As for me, the jacket, shirt, pants, boots, suspenders, and bow tie were all from Value Village, the screwdriver I got a year ago, and I ended up getting my hair dyed dark brown and got it cut and I can honestly say I used a lot of hairspray to make my hair exactly like that. It drove me nuts X_X but it was totally worth it..........:icondoctorthumbsupplz:

Anyway, they had a TARDIS there and I just HAD to get in there and get my picture taken.....A lot of people were staring at me...It felt awkward, but awesome at the same time XD
